Day 1:  HANOI ARRIVAL

Pick up at the airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. If time permits we will take a short city tour by van around Hanoi. Our hotel is nearby central so easy for you to take a walk around. Test your bike for a longer tour before Welcome dinner

DAY 2 : HANOI TO MAI CHAU (HOA BINH)

At 8:30 AM pick you up from your hotel at our bike shop and we start our motorbike tour by leaving Hanoi on dyke roads to avoid the heavy traffic around 9 am, we ride our motorcycles west to Mai Chau, an area of beautiful landscape and home to the Thai ethnic minority. We will ride on Highway 6 passing extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads punctuated by limestone karst scenery. After a light lunch in Hoa Binh Province, we cross Thong Khe, one of the most beautiful mountains passes in North Vietnam then descend to the mountain valley settlement of Mai Chau. After dinner, we join the performance, where you can dance and share a range of special liquors (rice wine) with the locals. Overnight in a house-on-stilts of the Thai people.

DAY 3: MAI CHAU TO CROSS THE BORDER TO SAM NUEA ( LAOS )

After breakfast with the family, Start the ride at around 8:30 AM. Ride on a beautiful green trail along the Mai Chau valley and the Ma River. If the weather is not too bad, we can also do some 25km off-road before crossing the Na Meo border gate to get into Laos. The landscape suddenly changed on the Laos side, a much more quiet road, riding up/down many mountain passes. The last 80 km is quite bumpy. End the ride at around 5:00 PM. It’s a long day but it’s a memorable day of this Vietnam – Laos motorbike tour. Stay at a mini-hotel in Sam Nuea.

DAY 4 : SAM NUEA – XIENG KHOANG

Leaving Samnuea at around 8:30 AM, Continue the beautiful motorbike tour in Laos. We will ride up and down many scenic passes. Take some easy off-road rides to some villages of the local hill tribes along the way. Before arriving at Xieng Khouang, we will pay a visit to the famous Plain Of Jars. Stay in a little hotel in Xieng Khouang.

DAY 5 : XIENG KHOANG – LUANG PRABANG

This is the longest and one of the most beautiful days of this 11-day motorbike tour from Vietnam – to Laos. Start the day earlier at around 8:00 AM. We will ride motorbikes on mostly smooth passes to Luang Prabang with beautiful terraces. There will be many stops for photos of beautiful nature and many different local tribes. We will pay some visits to some local tribes to learn more about their daily life and local Laos culture. Arrive late in the afternoon.

DAY 6: LUANG PRABANG – FREE AND EASY

Breakfast in Khe Sanh and then head out across the famous Dakrong River Bridge on Rte. 14 Near the town of Ta Rut, we will stop for a visit with the Pa Co people and a walk through their village. From Ta Rut, you head over scenic Pe Ke Pass and then down to A Luoi and down to Hue city. Let you explore dinner in your way.

DAY 7: LUANG PRABANG – MUANG XAI

Leaving the beautiful city of Luang Prabang, We continue the motorbike tour to Vietnam with another long day. The route today is a bit busier but still enjoyable with many stops to visit the villages of Hmong & Thai peoples. We will ride along the Mekong river and it’s the highlight of the day. We end the day in the little town of Muang Xai and stay overnight in a little hotel.

DAY 8: MUANG XAI – CROSSBORDER – DIEN BIEN PHU

Ending the motorcycle touring in Laos. Today is a relaxing and short day before saying goodbye to Laos. Head to the east where we will cross the border to get back to Vietnam after doing some paperwork. We continue the motorbike touring in Vietnam with the scenic ride downhill through the rustic villages of Thai people before getting down to the flat spectacular valley of Dien Bien Phu. You will see a large green rice field surrounded by mountains, the ride is pretty easy and we can have some stops and pay visits to the war sites or villages of the local people to learn more about local Vietnamese culture. Stay in a hotel in Dien Bien city.

DAY 9: DIEN BIEN PHU – SIN HO

Visit the historical remnants of the French battlefield during the Indochina War. Leaving the city of Dien Bien, we will ride along the Da river on a quiet sealed road with beautiful views of mountains and rivers. It’s another highlight of this special Laos – Vietnam motorbike tour. After that, we will ride motorbikes up and up and up on the scenic pass to Sin Ho. Stay in the small and quiet town of Sin Ho with a height of more than 2000 m above sea level.

DAY 10: SIN HO - SAPA

It’s another easy day ride to Sapa, the ride will be up and down some of the most beautiful mountain passes in Northern Vietnam. We will be in Sapa for lunch and then spend the afternoon to see around Sapa on foot or motorbikes. We can keep motorbike riding through some valley nearby Sapa to see more breathtaking rice terraces and visit and know more about the Dzao and Zay people. DAY 11: SAPA – THAC BA LAKE

Another long day of this amazing Vietnam –Laos motorcycle tour. The motorbike ride from Sapa to Thac Ba lake is a mixture of on and off-road riding through many beautiful villages of the Tay, Thai, and Dzao people…We will end the motorbike ride at around 3:30 pm at the nice and quiet villages of the Dzao people located nearby the Thac Ba lake then spend a 1.5-hour boat ride around the beautiful green lake of Thac Ba. Stay and BBQ party with the family of the Dzao people.

DAY 12: THAT BA – HANOI

Leave the family for Hanoi at around 8:00 am. We can do some off-road riding or just ride easily on the smooth backroads back to Hanoi. We keep riding along the Red river to be away from a busy highway. The last 20 km back to Hanoi is the most difficult part of the tour with busy local traffic but it’s not so bad if you ride carefully and slowly after the guide. End this great Vietnam and Laos motorcycle touring in Hanoi at around 3:30 PM and drop your bike back at our shop and transfer to your hotel by car. End motorbike tour today

DAY 13: HANOI – HALONG BAY CRUISE – KAYAKING

08:30: Pick up at your hotel and depart for Ha Long City.
12:30 - On arrival at the pier, you will board your Royal Palace Cruise and you are warmly welcomed by a professional and friendly crew.

• 13:00 - Check in the cabin and enjoy a specially prepared lunch while cruising through the most beautiful parts of the magical bay with thousands of amazing limestone islands emerging from emerald water. Sailing with Royal Palace Cruise on a very tranquil route, exploring the exotic beauty of the legendary Bay, a feeling of paradise will come to you.

• 14:30 - Keep cruising to the most beautiful parts of Halong Bay. This is the best time to relax after lunch and enjoy your privacy, capturing stunning photos of the legendary bay.

• 15:30 - Small tender brings you to visit Titop island, hiking to the top of the island from where tourists can capture a panoramic view of Halong Bay.

• 07:45 – Visit Surprising Cave – the most beautiful one in Halong Bay.

• 09:00 – Back to Royal Palace Cruise for check-out. Keep cruising towards Ha Long Bay, passing by hundreds of islands and islets with different shapes depending on your imagination.

• 10:00 – Cooking class opened right on the cruise.

• 11:00 – Farewell lunch served on the cruise before you arrive at the harbor.

• 12:30 – Get on the bus to Hanoi.

• 16:30 – Transfer you back to your hotel.
