Ha Noi – Ho Chi Minh trail – DMZ- Central Highland – Da Lat -14days

The so-called Ho Chi Minh Trail is one of the most renowned legends of the American War. The complicated road system winds along the Truong Son Range, which that facilitated movement of soldiers and war supplies from North Vietnam to battlefields in South Vietnam. Now the historic trail is being turned into a highway and hotels and towns are springing up speedily beside it. The route is incredibly beautiful with new mountain views around every corner, very little traffic, and virtually no tourists.
This trip brings you a great chance to learn about the Vietnamese modern history and see it beautiful nature. The trip concludes in Hue and Hoian, a charming ancient town in centre Vietnam.

Day 1: Depart from Ha Noi to Hoa Binh
– Viet – Muong village
– Visit Hoa Binh lake to enjoy the wonderful views on the top of Hoa Binh Hydro Electricity
– Go to the small village to see their daily life
Day 2 :Depart from Hoa Binh to Thanh Hoa
– Visit Ho Dynasty Citadel

– Continue following the Ho Chi Minh trail to get some great photos before visiting the Spiritual Fish Springs, Fairy Caves
– Visit and learn more the culture of ethnic minority, Muong
Day 3 :Depart from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An
– Visit Sen village where Ho Chi Minh was born and grown up
– Visit Chua village
– Learn more about Vietnamese history when you visit the Ba Trieu temple
– Go to different small villages to see the locals make the traditional mats, marble stones
Day 4 :Depart from Nghe An to Phong Nha cave ( Quang Binh)
– Visit Huong Tich pagoda
– The historic vestige Dong Loc Three Way Crossroad
– The Nguyen Du Great Poet Monument
Day 5 :Depart from Phong Nha cave to Khe Sanh ( Quang Tri)
– Phong Nha Caves
– Phu Hoa church
– The ‘battle field village’
Day 6 :Depart from Khe Sanh to Prao
– Following highway 49 up to the top of Ma Oi pass where we stop for swimming at Mau waterfall and see the handicraft sewing of the Van Kieu ethnic minority
– Spend the whole afternoon on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, (a legendary road in the war time) to have a spectacular ride and takes off road through the mountains, stopping to visit some ethnic minority villages that live along Ho Chi Minh Trail
– Overnight at Prao town where you will have free time to explore the mountain town at night

Day 7 :Depart from Prao to Hue
– Stop in DMZ and then to Vinh Moc tunnels to learn more about the Civil War of Vietnam before 1975
– Visit Truong Son War Cemetery
– Linh Mu pagoda
– Kim Long old village where you can learn the Vietnamese people make the traditional rice wine

Day 8 :Depart from Hue to Hoi An
– Continue 52km to Thanh My on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
– We cross the river by local boat and ride along a village road to My Son – a World Heritage site to explore the ruins and take many photos
– Then continuing on to Hoi An to finish the tour
Day 9:Depart from Hoi An to Kham Duc
– Visit Cham tower
– Visit rice paper and brick making
– See how people make incense
– Visit Cao Dai temple
– Come to visit pineapple plantation and enjoy a fresh pineapple there
Following Ho Chi Minh trail to understand about Viet Nam war, by the way you`ll enjoy a beautiful view and fresh air in this area
– Stop over at the minority village to discover the local’s culture and customs
– Enjoy water massage on the Ho Chi Minh trail
– Exploring the local market of the mountain town
– Arrive in Kham Duc around 4:30pm to 5:00pm
Day 10 :Depart from Kham Duc to Kon Tum
Continue following the Ho Chi Minh Trail which spectacular view then you`ll see
– Phoenix Airport
– Stop over at the hot spring Dak Ha to enjoy Chicken egg in hot boiling water…
– See Trieng Minority Village and try crossing the Tiny Suspension Bridge
– Stop over at indochine three corner (three way border )
– Charlie hill (with popular song: Nguoi o lai Charlie)
– Visit the Dakto battle field
Day 11 : Depart from Kon Tum to Pleiku
– Visit Kon Ktu village and their traditional Rong house…
– Visit wooden church
– Visit orphanage
– Visit Kon tum market
– Enjoy the sunset at Sea Lake
Day 12 :Depart from Pleiku to Buon Me Thuot
– Experience the daily life of Highlanders
– Rice noodle making
– Views rubber plantations, cashew and black pepper gardens
– Traveling on the old Ho Chi Minh trail

Day 13 :Depart from Buon Me Thuot to Lak lake
– Visit Dray Sap, Dray Nu falls
– Jump to swim in Fairy pool, take a water massage from waterfall (ohlala so great)
– Have picnic lunch at Gia Long falls (BBQ chicken)
Keep going to Lak lake and enjoy something on the way like :
– Trekking to the top of the Elephant rock mountain
– Take photo of people farming and fishing
– visit Bao Dai summer palace.
– Visit to the Jun Minority Village (M’Nong)
– Check-in at the long-stilt-house (homestay) for over-night
Day 14 :Depart from Lak lake to Da Lat
– Crossing Lak lake by boat or traveling on the back of elephant (extra pay)
– Trekking through the jungle
– Elephant waterfall
– Visit silkworm factory
– Watch the way of Vietnamese making rice wine
– Mushroom farm
– Enjoy Vietnamese coffee in the local cafe
– Visit the flower garden, tea & coffee plantations
