Day 1: Ha Noi – Tuyen Quang – Ha Giang
Drive to Tuyen Quang Province via Tan Trao historical relics – where the Communist Party of the Viet Minh was agreed in the National People’s Congress meeting in 1945, with Uncle Ho as Chairman. Lunch en route at Tuyen Quang City. Continue driving to Ha Giang with a stop to visit Tay hill tribe village and enjoy the beautiful river, forest and mountain scenery of Northeast Vietnam. Check in hotel. Delicious dinner of local cuisine and overnight in Ha Giang.
Day 2: Ha Giang – Quang Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van

Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark was recognized as the first global geopark of Vietnam since October 3rd, 2010 – this is a once in a lifetime must-visit place! (Quang Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van – Meo Vac, 4 mountainous districts of Ha Giang Province).
After breakfast at our hotel, we head north our of Ha Giang to Quang Ba via (Quang Ba Heavens Gate). Take 1.5hrs trekking around Na Khoang Village before proceeding to Yen Minh town for lunch. Continue visiting Vuong Dynasty art architecture relics – a former H’mong Palace. Back to Dong Van Town for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac.
In the morning, we go to Dong Van ancient town, visit Dong Van market (opens only on Sunday) and visit two villages of H’mong and Lo Lo hill tribes. Then we drive to Meo Vac – which is inhabited mostly by the H’mong, Lo Lo and Pu Peo ethnic minority people who still retain the centuries-old cultural traditions and are recognizably distinct from each other by their costumes. We stop on the way to the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass at an altitude of over 2000 meters to admire the scenery typical of the region. Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac town.
Day 4: Meo Vac – Bao Lac – Bac Me – Ba Be National Park
We will depart Meo Vac for Ba Be National Park. On the way, we pass through small villages of local hill tribes of Tay, Nung, H’mong, Dao. We see the local cultural life of these people as they live in this wild environment. Lunch en route at the local restaurant. Arrive in Ba Be in the afternoon, a boat trip will take us to Pac Ngoi Village of Tay tribe. Good dinner and overnight in a house on stilts.
Day 5: Cruise on Ba Be Lake
The legendary lake of Ba Be is just one continuous body of water, although the name means “three lakes”. After breakfast, we take a boat cruise down the Nang River which is the main water source of the lake, enjoy the tranquility of nature and the biodiversity of Ba Be National Park. On the way, we visit Uong cave, Dau Dang waterfalls, and An Ma Island.
We will have lunch here. Then we will find the best place for swimming or take an easy hike to meet ethnic people living along the lake. Return to Pac Ngoi village in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in homestay
Day 6: Ba Be – Cao Bang – Pac Bo Cave
Leave Ba Be for Cao Bang city (120km) Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check-in. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive north of Cao Bang city to Pac Po to visit the former headquarters of the Vietnamese revolutionaries. Here, Ho Chi Minh used to live in a cave near a beautiful stream in early 1941, when he re-entered Vietnam after 30 years of living abroad in search of ways to liberate the nation from French colonialism. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes dotted with the village of the Tay and Nung ethnic minorities. Back to Cao Bang in the late afternoon. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7. Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall.
Drive to Ban Gioc Waterfall – which shares the river border with China via Trung Khanh with a stop to visit handmade water reeling system of Nung tribe which help to bring water from the stream to the rice fields. Arrive Ban Gioc Waterfall, take a boat trip to the waterfall, where you will meet visitors from China, who also come here to enjoy the atmosphere of the famous waterfall on the same river. On the way back to Cao Bang, take a short trek to visit Nguom Ngao cave, a big and yet unexplored cave with extraordinary natural stalactites and stalagmites.
Day 8. Cao Bang – Lang Son
Today, we drive from Cao Bang to Lang Son via Road 4A. Stop on the way at Dong Khe. Lunch en route at Dong Khe town. Continue driving to Lang Son city via That Khe, Dong Dang. Arrive Lang Son in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Lang Son.
Day 9. Lang Son – Ha Noi
Have breakfasted at Lang Son, we will come back Hanoi (156km). Depart Lang Son for Bac Ninh city with a boat trip to visit Cau river and Tho Ha pottery village – on among typical village of the Red river delta. Have lunch in here. Arrival Hanoi city in the afternoon.
